TRAINING AND SERVICES 

The Cambodian Centre for Mediation (CCM) offers qualified and professional conflict resolution and mediation training programs which compose of different level. The conflict resolution is a professional certificate program which aims at providing depth analysis skills and best practices of dispute resolution.

The specific training course is developed as specialized certificate programs to support the development of subject matter expertise, establish credentials and meet career and continuing education goals. CCM offers five specialized training certificates:

​ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION (ADR)

This training course outlines the nature of dispute resolution processes and strategies for dealing with conflict that used as the prevention and settlement mechanisms. These mechanisms composed of negotiation, mediation, conciliation, and the arbitration mechanism. ADR commonly used to refer to a variety of alternatives to litigation, in which a neutral third party assists the disputing parties, includes a full range of dispute resolution processes between direct negotiation and litigation. The course provides an overview of dispute resolution methods, applications, sources of information, and how to use and effectively participate in ADR

​COMMUNITY CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION

This course focuses on the understanding conflict and conflict analysis as the foundation for designing strategies for peace-building and conflict prevention. Participants will learn a variety of tools to analyze and describe the nature and dynamics of the conflict. Drawing from the broad interdisciplinary theoretical basis, the course focuses on the theory about the cause of conflict as a central framework for examining the complex causes of conflict and interventions.

ORGANIZATIONAL
CONFLICT RESOLUTION

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the concept of conflict and organizational conflict resolution employing a variety of perspectives from which to view conflict to develop successful interventions. There is no organization without conflicts and no social group without disputes. The conflict in organizations is inevitable. However, the consequences of poorly managed conflict can be very costly to individuals, groups, and entire organizations. Those who are able to identify conflicts and who understand conflict dynamics can implement solutions in a broad range of conflict situations. This course addresses conflict in organizations including intrapersonal, interpersonal, intragroup, and intergroup conflict.

BASIC MEDIATION FOR PROFESSIONALS

The basic mediation for professional is to develop and build concepts and foundation of the mediation process and practice. This training is designed for religious leaders, teachers, lawyers, and retired people such as lawyers, legal experts, judges, administrative officers and other professionals whose work involves resolving disagreements. Mediation is a fundamental practice for community builders, peacemakers and managers of NGOs, municipal and civil society organizations. Mediation is a voluntary, informal yet structured process in which an impartial or neutral party assists parties communicate, negotiate, evaluate options and participate in joint decision making.

​ADVANCED MEDIATION TECHNIQUES

The advanced mediation training is to equip with advanced skills of mediation practice and enhance the capacity of mediators in the different situation. This course provides advanced training for experienced mediators of disputes. This training is designed for professional mediators and conflict managers who want to improve their dispute resolution skills to handle public, community and workplace disputes. The advanced training includes mediation principles and ethics, the mediation process, skills and techniques of mediation, and mediation practices in a different situation. Areas of skill building include improving questioning techniques, analyzing and evaluating situations where the parties are at an impasse, resolving deadlocks, and using alternate approaches for handling evaluative and distributive disputes. The trainers also will discuss how mediation skills can be employed to address workplace discord that predates the formal complaint/grievance process.

​Specialized Mediation Training Skills

The mediation training is an intensive training program which primarily developed and trained by CCM. The mediation training is developed into two parts of mediation training programs which are basic mediation for professional and advance mediation techniques. The mediation training is not limited at two levels but includes family and domestic violent, work place, business and commercial conflict.
